South Carolina Car Accident Lawyers: 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Chesterfield Car Accident
Not all car accidents involve two vehicles. Even those that involve one vehicle can leave people severely injured, or even take them away from their loved ones far too early. In the cases where that one-car accident is due to some negligence or irresponsibility on the part of the driver, the injured party or his or her family may have a cause of action to file a lawsuit.
A possible example of this type of car accident occurred in South Carolina recently. One Hartsville resident was killed and another severely injured in a one-vehicle car crash in Chesterville on Sunday, Oct. 14.
According to WMBF-TV, the accident happened around 3 p.m. when a Chevrolet Camaro was heading south on Union Church Road. Authorities who are investigating the accident believe it ran off the right side of the road. The driver over-corrected, then ran off the left side of the road and overturned.
It was not immediately clear why the Camaro went off the road. It does not seem driving conditions were a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
The 24-year-old man who was a passenger in the Camaro was airlifted to a nearby hospital, but his injuries were too great and there was nothing that doctors there could do to save him. The condition of the driver is not known. Neither of the two have been identified.
