Sunday night around 6pm in Berkeley County, a South Carolina man was killed when a tractor trailer ran into a dune buggy on Highway 17-A near Moncks Corner. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and coroner’s office are still investigating the fatal crash. A 27-year-old from Bonneau, SC, a passenger in the dune buggy when the accident occurred, died at the scene from his injuries. A 44-year-old Rock Hill woman returned to her home Sunday and found a Chevrolet Impala jammed into the side of her house. According to reports, an intoxicated 24-year-old crashed a car into the Rock Hill woman’s duplex around 2:00 am. The accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Georgia Road near Greenville Technical College’s Brashier campus. The bus was transporting 51 Woodmont Middle School students when it was hit head-on by a pick-up driven by Michelle Kaufman, 42, of Simpsonville. Around midnight on Saturday, Feb. 4, an accident on I-95 injured nine people. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials, two cars collided near the 55 mile marker in Colleton County on northbound on I-95. The same two vehicles veered into the path of an 18-wheeler, causing it to run off the road. The semi truck then crashed into several trees before flipping over and bursting into flames. Last Wednesday marked a fatal day on the I-85 corridor in Greenville County. In the early hours of February 1, the first of two wrecks left a pedestrian dead. Around 6:40 a.m., David Lee Evans, 48, from Laurens, was struck and killed on the southbound side of I-85.
