South Carolina Dune Buggy Accident with Semi-Truck Leaves One Dead

Sunday night around 6pm in Berkeley County, a South Carolina man was killed when a tractor trailer ran into a dune buggy on Highway 17-A near Moncks Corner. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and coroner’s office are still investigating the fatal crash. A 27-year-old from Bonneau, SC, a passenger in the dune buggy when the accident occurred, died at the scene from his injuries. Driver in a Columbia Hit-and-Run With School Bus Still Wanted by Police

On Wednesday, Feb 15th, in the late afternoon, a hit-and-run collision occurred with a school bus at an intersection in Columbia. According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, Greenville County had more deadly wrecks last year than any other county in the state. Reporting 53 for the year 2011, Greenville County had the most traffic deaths. Lexington County and Charleston County came in at a close second and third with 51 and 49. Owner Shoots Dog After It Viciously Attacks 73-Year-Old South Carolina Woman

A 73-year-old woman was seriously injured recently when she was bitten by a neighbor’s dog. The incident report related to the attack states that the woman suffered a severe laceration that went to the bone on her right upper arm. Caregiver Charged in Rock Hill Nursing Home Death

An 82-year-old resident of Rock Hill’s Oak Bridge Terrace Assisted Living Facility was found dead on Sunday, Nov. 13. Pauline Cook, of Gaston County, had moved into the Park Point Village Assisted Living Community, along Chesbrough Boulevard, eleven years ago. Anderson Man Charged With DUI in Crash That Injured A State Trooper

An Anderson man has been charged with driving under the influence after a crash that injured a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper. A deputy with the Anderson County Police Department says that the 29-year-old alleged drunk driver was traveling south on state Highway 81 North when he turned his pickup truck into the path of a southbound trooper’s car around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30.
