South Carolina Dune Buggy Accident with Semi-Truck Leaves One Dead

Sunday night around 6pm in Berkeley County, a South Carolina man was killed when a tractor trailer ran into a dune buggy on Highway 17-A near Moncks Corner. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and coroner’s office are still investigating the fatal crash. A 27-year-old from Bonneau, SC, a passenger in the dune buggy when the accident occurred, died at the scene from his injuries. Belton Mother Dies After Head-On Collision

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a tragic car accident 8 miles north of Anderson around 4:30pm Saturday. A 31-year-old mother of two was heading down Crestview Road in her 2009 Honda when she collided head-on with a Chevy Astro van. At the time of the crash the mother, a resident of Belton, was traveling with her two young children – her six-month-old son and two-year-old daughter. An eye witness claims the victim may have even been hit by a second car. Driver in a Columbia Hit-and-Run With School Bus Still Wanted by Police

On Wednesday, Feb 15th, in the late afternoon, a hit-and-run collision occurred with a school bus at an intersection in Columbia. Witnesses reported that after slamming into the front of the bus, the driver fled the scene, leaving behind the damaged vehicle and a stunned passenger. Greenville School Bus Accident Sends Several to Hospital

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, there was a collision between a school bus and a pick-up truck on Wednesday morning near Simpsonville. The accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Georgia Road near Greenville Technical College’s Brashier campus. The bus was transporting 51 Woodmont Middle School students when it was hit head-on by a pick-up driven by Michelle Kaufman, 42, of Simpsonville. According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, Greenville County had more deadly wrecks last year than any other county in the state. Reporting 53 for the year 2011, Greenville County had the most traffic deaths. Lexington County and Charleston County came in at a close second and third with 51 and 49. Caregiver Charged in Rock Hill Nursing Home Death

An 82-year-old resident of Rock Hill’s Oak Bridge Terrace Assisted Living Facility was found dead on Sunday, Nov. 13. Pauline Cook, of Gaston County, had moved into the Park Point Village Assisted Living Community, along Chesbrough Boulevard, eleven years ago.
