Belton Mother Dies After Head-On Collision
The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a tragic car accident 8 miles north of Anderson around 4:30pm Saturday. A 31-year-old mother of two was heading down Crestview Road in her 2009 Honda when she collided head-on with a Chevy Astro van. At the time of the crash the mother, a resident of Belton, was traveling with her two young children – her six-month-old son and two-year-old daughter. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, there was a collision between a school bus and a pick-up truck on Wednesday morning near Simpsonville. The accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Georgia Road near Greenville Technical College’s Brashier campus. The bus was transporting 51 Woodmont Middle School students when it was hit head-on by a pick-up driven by Michelle Kaufman, 42, of Simpsonville.
