Intoxicated Man Crashes Car into Rock Hill Home
A 44-year-old Rock Hill woman returned to her home Sunday and found a Chevrolet Impala jammed into the side of her house. According to reports, an intoxicated 24-year-old crashed a car into the Rock Hill woman’s duplex around 2:00 am. The woman rented one half of the duplex while her daughter rented the other — her daughter’s half received the damage. By the time the 44-year-old made it home, the damage had already been done. Around midnight on Saturday, Feb. 4, an accident on I-95 injured nine people. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials, two cars collided near the 55 mile marker in Colleton County on northbound on I-95. The same two vehicles veered into the path of an 18-wheeler, causing it to run off the road. The semi truck then crashed into several trees before flipping over and bursting into flames. An 82-year-old resident of Rock Hill’s Oak Bridge Terrace Assisted Living Facility was found dead on Sunday, Nov. 13. Pauline Cook, of Gaston County, had moved into the Park Point Village Assisted Living Community, along Chesbrough Boulevard, eleven years ago. She was active and enjoyed visiting with her family and playing bingo. Investigators said she was found in the shower that morning, where it first appeared she has fallen. Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead. The scene was described by law enforcement as “suspicious.” The York County...
