South Carolina Pedestrian Deaths Increased Dramatically in 2011
Pedestrian deaths in South Carolina have risen sharply since 2009, with five already reported in Columbia and 10 in Lexington County. Highway Patrol Captain Brad Hughes, who is commander of Troop One covering the Midlands area to include Richland, Lexington, and Kershaw counties, commented that these statistics reflect a significant increase of six more than last year.
